Central Park and the Upper East Side

Beginning at the Pulitzer Fountain, by the Plaza Hotel, our walk takes us across and down into the Park - the glorious breath of freshness that Frederick Law Olmstead envisioned as a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.  We shall walk near the Sheep Meadow, and along the Mall, and perhaps through Strawberry Fields as well while we admire the grace of the plantings and the calm of nature.  We will eventually exit the Park near a unique block - and hear stories of wealth and extravagance - and end near a welcoming diner if you'd like lunch.
