Hi! My name is William Van den broeck (or simply Will VDB) and I’m a licensed NYC tour guide offering tours in English, French, Dutch, and Italian! As I started guiding all around New York City, I quickly realized that many of my clients were looking for an experience that went beyond the pictures and classic sightseeing. Instead, they wanted a fun and authentic cultural immersion into the heart and soul of the Big Apple!
That’s why I founded Will VDB Tours, allowing you to Discover and Experience NYC.
To me, New York is best understood through its layers—its historical transformation from a 17th-century Dutch enclave into an architectural and financial powerhouse whose identity continues to be shaped by the people and cultures that have come to its shores.
My tours bring New York's history and present to life through informative and passionate tours alongside immersive unique NYC experiences. While I offer my own private tours, I also regularly work with tour operators and travel agencies from North America and Europe.
My tour guiding work is combined with active involvement in international development, often in the form of volunteering with NGOs operating across the Global South, mainly in Africa and Latin America. I am currently working alongside Somos Travel to create service-learning immersion trips to El Salvador, working alongside Campesinos para el Desarrollo Humano, an NGO offering health care and economic development to rural communities in Morazan, El Salvador.
