About:

Suzanne Goss' New YOUrk Tours

Summary: Experienced New York City sightseeing guide, licensed in 2011

  • I was born and raised in Brooklyn, which has continued to be my home for my entire life.
  • I’ve led individual, family, and small-group tours throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan - fpr example, tours with grandparents, parents and children; bachelorette parties; and couples
  • My expertise is working with customers to create bespoke tours designed around specific interests, eras, or historical and cultural figures. Some examples: The Real "Sex in the City" tour featuring destinations associated with the "swinging singles" scenes of the 60s and 70s  for a bridal party; the Irish immigrant experience and Four Points for a group from a Catholic community center; Wall Street architecture and corporate identity for a seminar on business branding; Famous Firsts in Greenwich Village for a college student
  • I have 30+-years’ experience as a global marketing executive, highly skilled storyteller/presenter in large and small formats including international marketing workshops with 40-60 participants, one-on-one interviews, and focus group discussions with 8-10 team members.

Experience:

Big Apple Greeter: 2016-Present:  https://www.bigapplegreeter.org/  Big Apple Greeter’s mission is to enhance New York City’s worldwide image and enrich the New York experience by connecting visitors with knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers.  I design and lead tours for individuals and families visiting New York. Each 3-hour tour explores an area of the visitors’ choice in Brooklyn or Manhattan and is designed to share a piece of New York through the perspective of a native’s experience and knowledge.
