I'm almost a native New Yorker. I've lived here for over 4 decades, I have degrees from Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary, and I've been a tour guide for the past decade. But I was actually born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. I believe my country roots help me to better appreciate this wonderful city I now call home. And I believe my rural roots help me connect with visitors who are not from here.
I enjoy helping my guests better appreciate New York any way I can: by simply meeting up for a "coffee consultation" to help you make the most of your time here; by accompanying you or your small group for all or part of your time here, and by being a step-on guide for your out-of-town bus.
If you're interested, my theological education can help you better appreciate the houses of worship and meet people of the faith community at work here in the city.
And the other part of my life, besides being a tour guide, is my Middle East peacemaking work. I've made over 20 trips to many parts of the Middle East over the years, so I'm very comfortable returning to visitors the warm hospitality I've received while visiting there. I don't speak Arabic, but I do speak "friendship!" More about that part of my life at www.CommonHumanity.org
Send me a note; let's talk!
