About:

An Architect restoring New York City landmark buildings for decades and now a Certified Guide, I love having the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion for our city. Come on a fun tour with me, where we learn about architecture, materials and the people who continue to make New York City special.

As an owner of an award-winning architecture/engineering firm, where I was the Vice President and Director of Historic Preservation, and a hands-on manager of restoration projects at cherished buildings. Here is a list of buildings I have had the pleasure of improving as the restoration project manager: Woolworth Building, 90 West Street after 9-11, McGraw Hill Building, Gould Memorial Library, Peninsula Hotel, Ritz Carlton, and many more. I studied architecture at City College of NYC and Historic Preservation at Columbia University and have also studied architecture in Italy and historic preservation in Istanbul.

I have been a board member of the NY State American Institute of Architects and the Association of Preservation Technology – Northeast Chapter. I am also the current president of the Westerleigh Improvement Society, a volunteer neighborhood civic group of a historic town on Staten Island, originally known as National Prohibition Park.

I specialize in themed architectural tours and can also tailor a walking or bike riding tour to suit your special interests. Themed tours include:

  • Walk with Gargoyles – Downtown Manhattan
  • Westerleigh – The Town that Temperance Built -Staten Island
