Jim Dykes new email is; All other emails are cancelled. Jim is a writer and actor who has been a licensed New York guide for many years. CHECK MY 5-STAR RATINGS on TRIP ADVISOR!! History, architecture and fabulous NYC real estate are passions: Jim is a former GANYC board member and enjoys doing walking tours, bus tours, limo tours. He was born in Kentucky, a small town on the Ohio River and moved to New York for school and to start his career. He's a bit of a gypsy because his Dad was born in Brooklyn and his Mom's family is in Texas. However Jim is from one of the oldest families in the country...his family tree is extensive...on his Mom's side he's a direct descendant from Mayflower passenger Richard Warren and on his Dad's side his family includes 9 U.S. presidents as cousins including George Washington, James Madison and Barack Obama.

He has appeared in major TV shows and movies as well as a lot of TV commercials (youtube has a few of them). Jim has written for newspapers and magazines including the New York Times and NY Post. Check out his NY Times article "Witchcraft on the West Side" which you can easily google.

Jim sprinkles his New York tours with fascinating stories and little known facts & tidbits of the city and its inhabitants. As an actor, he also has friendships with famous people that can sometimes be fun for his tour participants.

Jim has done corporate & incentive tours for law firms (including the A.B.A.), car companies, pharmaceutical companies, doctors, and others. He's also done many school groups, church groups and private family groups including the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia among others.
