About:

The more we explore this fascinating city and discover its' iconic and hidden gems, the more you will fall in love with it!

Born across the street from the legendary Gracie Mansion, the official residence of New York City mayors, I am a native New Yorker and the daughter of wonderful Greek parents who immigrated to NYC and shared their enthusiasm of the city with me! Looking back I recall endless walks from Astoria, Queens where I was raised, over the Queens Borough Bridge into Manhattan, all the way south to Chinatown, and long summer days in Central Park watching free concerts and reading magazines, as we lay on the lush lawn, marveling at the  beautiful old Elm trees. Radio City Music Hall is one of the many bright venues down memory lane marked by the spectacular shows, the fine mural namely "The Fountain of Youth", and most notably our enthusiastic exit mimicking the rhythmic, high kicking Rocketts! Visits to the Metropolitan Museum of Art was a frequent outing on the agenda and as an artist I relished the intricate details and beauty of the timeless works of international masters! Walks around Lincoln Center, a cultural hub which was once the culturally diverse neighborhood San Juan Hill, was a must, as well as a stop for our favorite frozen yogurt on the upper Westside! The city was our endless palette, like the stops along the Hudson River and the gorgeous colos of the sunset reflecting on the NYC skyline. Swirling views of the iconic Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, the epitome of Art Deco magnificence, marked my childhood and lifelong entry into the city from Queens with immense intrigue about the architecture of these colossal masterpieces. The stimulus was endless, and being food lovers, the exploration of savory and sweet delights was always a thought to be manifested! New York City was instilled in me.

I went on to study at New York University obtaining a BA (double major), in Comparative Literature and French Literature, completing a study abroad program in Paris France, for six months. Upon my return to the historical and bohemian Greenwich Village, I spent hours at Washington Square Park studying, drawing, and people watching while visiting galleries, vintage boutiques, streetfairs and my favorite cafés around the area. During my studies, I worked at Café Dante, a Napolitan Café established in 1915! I picked up Italian while working, and by the time I was twenty-four, I became fluent in six languages, Greek being my maternal language. Self- taught, I incorporated language by reading poetry, singing song lyrics, watching foreign films and inspired by cultural diversity. My interest in travel grew and as a true globetrotter, I visited many countries seeking to experience how others live, our cultural similarities and differences, returning full circle with boader horizons to the melting pot of the world, our fascinating NYC!

In 2016, I was hired as a Tour Director for EF (Education First) and continued student tours with EA ( Explore America), in NYC and Washington DC as a Tour Director and as a licensed sightseeing guide. I am also employed for the NYC Department of Education teaching children of all ages! As a guide my heart beats for New York City and it's tapestry of culture. The city's transformation from a natural landscape, the ancestral lands of the Lenape Native Americans in Man-a- hattan, (the island of hills), the arrival of European settlers and their hunger for business and expansion, a population surge of immigration, the Statue of Libery and Ellis Island, is a vibrant story in itself, as the rapidly everchanging mosaic that defines what NYC has become today, unwinds, moves uptown and spreads across the five boroughs.

NYC, a rich fountain of music, art and culture with a vast diversity of people, food, architecture, and beautiful memories, has shaped my life, while the city that never sleeps, always incites in me an enthusiasm which I would love to share with you!

Come! Let's enjoy NYC together!
