I am Anette – mother, crafter and immigrant from Germany. I love to explore my beloved new home, its' history, the well-known and also the hidden sights. As a NYC licensed tour guide I want to share my love and knowledge of New York City with you.

Ich bin Anette – Mutter, begeisterte Hobbystrickerin und Häklerin und NYC licensed Tour Guide. Damit habe ich mein Hobby, die Stadt und ihre Geschichte, die bekannten und auch die versteckten Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden, zum Beruf gemacht. Nun kann ich jeden Tag interessierten Besuchern mein New York zeigen und das mache ich sehr gerne in Deutsch und/oder Englisch.

Education:
I have a background as an Account Director in Advertising, specialized on Digital Media. Earlier in my career, I organized B-B and B-C events for Prinz Magazine - different city editions f.e. https://prinz.de/duesseldorf/ .
I organized and overlooked B-B-events and Incentive trips (f.e. Stadtwerke Düsseldorf 'Drachenboot Regatta 2000' ).
Personal Interests:
When I am not exploring NYC and check out new exhibitions, new hidden gems and stories, I love to hike in nature with my family and our dog. We also try to do city trips all over the US and Europe.
I have a knit- or crochet-project with me all the time and love to meet fellow knitters at meetings, events and festivals. You can ask me where to find the yarn shops in NYC ;-)
