Emma Guest-Consales, Ph.D.

Emma Guest-Consales is President of GANYC and Chair of the IT/Web Committee. She has been an active GANYC member since 2011. She has also served on the Board as Recording Secretary, Vice President, and was first elected President of GANYC in 2019.
Emma is Tour Ambassador Captain at the One World Observatory in One World Trade Center where her work includes interacting with thousands of guests on a daily basis through public presentations and small group tours,. She also gives VIP tours to top executives, celebrities, politicians, and heads of state, and develops programs for staff training, Scouts, and student and corporate groups. She is a guide for Bowery Boys Walks (of the Bowery Boys podcast), leading tours of Ladies’ Mile, the Gilded Age Mansions of Fifth Avenue, and Central Park. In her free time she offers private tours of New York City neighborhoods, museums, and historic locations in English and Italian with her company, My New York City Tours. She is a volunteer at the Thomas J. Watson Library in The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Emma holds a doctorate degree in Italian Renaissance art, and has taught classes on the history, art, and architecture of New York City. She grew up in central Connecticut and attended college in New England and Italy. She lived in Manhattan for seven years, and currently resides with her family in New Jersey.
